Once again the Louisiana boys are doing their part to stop this run away train of a President. Last recess Congress took, Obama took it upon himself to make some appoints to various positions that could have waited for Congress to come back in to session, but didn't. He of course knew he'd have a hard time getting these people through the Senate's approval so he used the power he has to just put them in office. Geaux get'em Jeff.............
DEVELOPING: Congressman Jeff Landry Leads Effort to Stop All Obama Recess Appointments
WASHINGTON, DC – Fighting for transparency and public trust, Congressman Jeff Landry (R, LA-03) has started an effort to stop recess appointments. The Congressman is leading a large Freshmen coalition letter requesting all appropriate measures be taken by House leadership to prevent any recess appointments by the President for the remainder of the 112th Congress.
The letter urges Speaker John Boehner, Majority Leader Eric Cantor, and Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy to prevent further recess appointments and provide the Senate the ability to perform their Constitutional duties of scrutinizing the appointments made by President Obama.
